Training: We offer a three day “Project Execution” seminar. The seminar is based on the highly successful, Brigham Young University developed capstone senior engineering design and manufacturing project curriculum.
Previous Projects:
Markey Machinery:
Develop a 10 year modernization plan for the manufacturing floor, which included facility improvements, manufacturing methods and equipment recommendations, plant layout, work flow, material flow and integration plan.
US Synthetic:
A. Develop and integrate a more effective way of finishing PCD cutter inserts. This project resulted in an improved lapping process as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings.
Exotic Metals Forming Company:
A. Improve thin wall titanium and nickel alloy tube cutting. This project led to the development of a proprietary tube-cutting process, which reduced the cutting time from 20 man hours to 2 ¼ man hours per day.
B. Develop a faster process for the trimming of thin-wall titanium cups. A change in the machine set up, (a self contained machining cell), resulted in time savings of 50% with additional potential future savings.
