Dittmar Development has provided financially rewarding solutions. The clients listed below contracted with Dittmar Development for the improvement of manufacturing and their bottom line. In order for you to fully visualize our capabilities and to help you better analyze how Dittmar Development may be of service to your companies, we are providing a short synopsis of projects.
Markey Machinery:
Develop a 10 year modernization plan for the manufacturing floor, which included facility improvements, manufacturing methods and equipment recommendations, plant layout, work flow, material flow and integration plan.
US Synthetic:
A. Develop and integrate a more effective way of finishing PCD cutter inserts. This project resulted in an improved lapping process as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings.
B. Design and build a diamond media dispensing system. The unit we provided was more accurate than other system on the market and we were able to supply it at a lower cost.
Exotic Metals Forming Co.:
A. Improve thin wall titanium and nickel alloy tube cutting. This project led to the development of a proprietary tube-cutting process, which reduced the cutting time from 20 man hours to 2 ¼ man hours per day.
B. Develop a faster process for the trimming of thin-wall titanium cups. A change in the machine set up, (a self contained machining cell), resulted in time savings of 50% with additional potential future savings.
Becton Dickinson:
Designed and built a custom semi-automatic catheter assembly machine for proto-type testing of a new catheter. The machine was built for 40% of the in-house estimated cost.
Tiger Light:
Redesign for manufacturability and set up the manufacturing of a new police and armed forces flashlight / pepper-spray combination.
Don Willardson:
Design and build a semi-automatic garment-hanger size identification installation tool.
This project resulted in a patent pending highly efficient installation tool for garment manufacturers as well as retailers.
Action Target:
Redesign and built components for a custom CNC steel strip punching machine.
